Meet Rev. Clayton and Nellie Brown. Starting their 35th year at Cedar Valley Church. Originally from Griffin Ga. They were married July 24, 1953 and raised a family of four daughters. Sister Nellie Brown stands beside her husband and helps him with his busy schedule, making sure he remembers all his appointments and visits. She works to see that the special activities for the church are a success such as plays, fund raisers, church outings etc. This couple truly loves the Lord and this church.
Pastor Brown started out Evangelizing and then Pastured a church in Tifton GA before coming to Dalton to Pastor Cedar Valley Church in August 1965. He was licensed June 23, 1965 at the age of 33. On July 1, 1970 he was ordained. Pastor Brown had a vision of a great Cathedral of Praise to the Lord. He also has a television ministry every Sunday morning @ 8:00 a.m. on cable.
Pastor Brown and Nellie extend an open invitation to anyone and everyone to come visit with us. As Pastor Brown puts it to visitors, “you couldn’t be no where on Earth to be more appreciated and welcome than here at Cedar Valley Cathedral of Praise”.
